CEO Member: Blake Phillips
We have asked Blake a series of questions about the CEO. The first question we asked was "What made you want to join CEO?"; he responded with " I joined CEO because of previous students who had recommended it to me, and I also believed that the program would help me with several real life skills." Question number two was "What do you want to get out of being in CEO?"; he answered it with " When it comes to what I want to get out of CEO I personally just want to build my communication skills because I believe that it is a very valuable skill to have." Question number three was "How are you going to persevere when your project meets a rough spot?"; Blake replied with “When our class meets a rough spot I am going to step up and be a leader because I believe that I perform well under pressure but also realize that we are going to make mistakes and just being able to come back and learn from them is the most important thing." "What is one thing you want to work on personally?" was the fourth question he answered with " One thing I am wanting to work on personally is my communication skills and just being easily able to spark a conversation and talk to people in general." The fifth question was "How do you think the CEO is going to help you with your future goals?" Blake said, “CEO can help me with my future goals because being able to communicate with others is very important for someone like me going into the medical field.” "What type of opportunities are you want CEO to provide for you?" He replied with “I am wanting my personal network that I build from the class to be able to expand my opportunities in both college and the workplace because building a good network is very essential for success." And the final question that I asked Blake was "Do you believe that the things you will learn in this class you will be able to take on and use in the future? Why?" He said that he " I believe that the skills I learn from this class will be able to be used in the future because different skills such as communication and public speaking don't necessarily go away with time and the more I am able to use them the better I will get." Blake is excited to see what this upcoming school year will hold and all the life skills he will learn!
